Artist Statement
Art began at the same time man first free breath. We know this due to the indigenous art found in countless caves and walls, but modern art began during the industrial revolution, we were changing the way we lived and worked, and artists began to reflect those changes in their art. I am a mixed media artist who creates art using modern materials and techniques. I have tried to embrace many of those changes such as the use of metallic paint in much of my artwor such as the use of acrylic gel mediums, UV reactant acrylic paint and incorporating organic materials within the canvas such as glass, wood and stone.
My themes range from abstract, and spiritual, to art nouveau and magic realism. I research cultures and spirituality and try to instill them into the art I create. To add a little magic to each canvas and page.

More about the artist:
Trace graduated with dual master's degrees from The Institute of Transpersonal Psychology (ITP), also known as Sofia University.
At ITP, she specialized in Creativity and Innovation which allowed her to learn more about delving into innovative and creative selves.
Staying on for another year she also completed a specialization in Spirituality where she integrated her previous cultural studies with psychology and spiritually based artistic expression. Her thesis paper called the Psychology of Shamanism: Transformative and Restorative showed her creativity and disciplinary knowledge through a study of the shaman archetype.
